The Wonder That was Swamy Vivekananda

Swamy Vivekananda is arguably The Most Followed and Adored Indian of modern times, not because theVedantha or the Philsophical Thought that he represented, but ,because of the 'Way', that he presented it! Vivekananda's mission was not just to give publicity to one of the Oldest Schools of Thought, that was being neglected due to the trying social, political and religious situation in the country during his times, it was also his mission to cleanse it of the cleavage that has crept into it due to the passage of time. 
The basic principles of Hinduism stressed on the Equality of 'All Beings', not to speak of all 'human beings, righteousness, renunciation and dutymindedness! All these required true knowledge of the Vedas and Upanishads and slowly deceipt and greed began to attribute all the misdeeds and bad-deeds to Vedas and Upanishads and practice brought ill-fame to principle, and a time slowly came, when deliberately attempts were made, almost successfully, to nourish hatred and contempt to Vedas and Upanishads, Ithihasas and all other pious religious scriptures of the Indians!The innate strengths of Hinduism were misrepresented as incorrigible weaknesses and the Worldseemed like believing this!Vivekananda at one stroke changed the scenario with his insight,indomitable courage,logical disposition,openmindedness , all, bestowed on him with the blessings of one of the most pious souls that stepped on this Globe, that was Swamy Ramakrishna Paramahamsa!
Like a seasoned lieutanant essessing the strengths and weaknesses of his enemies and of his own army,before waging a war, Swamy Vivekananda imbibed the principles of all the religions of the world, all philosophical thoughts, history of the Nations and their Cultures, not to speak of the Nectar of his own Religious and Philosophical Thought, which he squeezed to the minutest drop by this time!This insight into all the religious and philosophical thoughts made him so powerful, wise, knowledgeble and indomitable that, almost everybody of every school of thought that came across him was spellbound and submissive before his power of piety!
Swamy Vivekananda went to the grass root levels of correcting individual, he re-enacted, re-enlivened, re-established and revitalised the basic,vedic hindu principles of thought catering to the needs, limitations and capacities of modern man.Integrity of Character, Hard Work, Sacrifice, Love,Renunciation of Worldly Pleasures and Temptations, Action with Contemplation, Revitalising the power of Youth, Freedom of the Fair Sex from the bondages of illiteracy and slavery to the Male, Belief in self and Belief in the Greatness of Mother India, Patience and Perseverance, realising the Strengths and Weaknesses of the Self and of the Nation, Open eyed examination and introspection of External World and Internal Weaknesses....all these were what Swamy Vivekananda stressed and propogated and all this he did with his true knowledge of Indian Religious and Philosophical Thought and it is why he is the most powerful personality that has ever treaded on this earth after VedaVyasa,Adi Shankara and the Like! The esteem, self respect and confidence that Indians were able to retain to this date are only due to the contribution of Swamy Vivekananda! May his Pious Soul keep them so for the generations immense to come also!
